Court hearing held in lawsuit to invalidate Ward IV primary

After Monday’s hearing, Zach Werrell, an attorney for Faraldi, told reporters he expects the case will be resolved before the mid-August deadline set by Watson.

Calling Alexander’s lawsuit “a giant waste of time,” Werrell said he believes the court will see that the 125 absentee ballots in question were properly processed and counted.

On Monday, Faraldi also filed an answer in court to Alexander’s lawsuit. Along with asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit, Faraldi requested he be awarded “reasonable and necessary attorney’s fees and costs of the court therein, and any such further relief that this Court deems appropriate.”
